Bob Huggins injured in Las Vegas hotel fall
Saturday, July 24, 2010

West Virginia men's basketball coach Bob Huggins was hospitalized with four broken ribs Friday after an accidental fall in his hotel room in Las Vegas during a recruiting trip.

Mr. Huggins was in Las Vegas -- along with many other college basketball coaches -- to attend an AAU basketball tournament.

"I spoke with associate head coach Larry Harrison [Saturday] morning who was with coach Huggins recruiting in Las Vegas," West Virginia athletics director Oliver Luck said in a statement. "Coach Huggins did fall in his hotel room Friday and broke four ribs. He was taken to a Las Vegas hospital and was held overnight for observation. He is expected to be released later [Saturday], and we expect him to make a complete recovery."
