State police announced today that a fire that destroyed a landmark Indiana County furniture store was arson.
The July 1 fire caused an estimated $2 million in damage to Rustic Acres Furniture in White Township.
David and Donna Reed had owned the store for 29 years, and housed it in a restored dairy barn since 1999. Before that the store was located in an airplane hangar in Du Bois, Clearfield County.
The building was insured, and David Reed said this month that his family planned to rebuild.
Police asked anyone with information about the fire to call them at 724-357-1960.
