Aliquippa police say they have some leads in a July 20 bank robbery in which the robber fired a shot into the ceiling of the building, but a spokesman said Tuesday that an arrest "could be tomorrow, or could be two weeks."
In the robbery, a man wearing a motorcycle helmet entered Citizens Bank on 22nd Street about 3 p.m., fired a shot from a handgun into the ceiling, then walked down the row of bank tellers collecting money. He was described as a thin, white male about 5 feet 9 inches, wearing jeans and a long-sleeved white T-shirt.
Police said there were four customers in the bank at the time. No one was hurt.
