Saturday, September 04, 2010

A Penn Hills teen was killed after the car he was riding in crashed into a school bus.

Robert Walter Chambers IV, 16, of Penn Hills, was pronounced dead at 4:05 p.m. at UPMC Presbyterian, the Allegheny County medical examiner's office said. His autopsy is scheduled for today.

A county dispatch supervisor said the accident occurred on Stotler Road between Universal Road and Bale Drive at around 3:10 p.m. Robert was riding in the car with another person, though it's not clear who was driving. One person was knocked unconscious by the impact and the other person was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. It's not clear which victim Robert was.

Both were transported to UPMC Presbyterian, where Robert later died.
